Scope of this policy

This document provides you with information about how Time to Ski is handling, or is intending to handle, your personal information.  If you are aged 16 or under, please obtain your parent/guardian’s permission before you provide any personal information to us.

This privacy policy applies only to the actions of Time to Ski and users with respect to this Website.  It does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this Website including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites.

We may also ask you to complete optional surveys that we use for research purposes and to provide you with a more relevant customer experience.

Where any payments are being collected on our behalf, we require our payment providers to be compliant with the Payment Card Industry’s Data Security standards (PCI-DSS).  We are using Stripe who are certified as a PCI Level 1 Services Provider, which is the highest level of PCI compliance. 

Recipients of data

We may share information about you with some of our suppliers who process data on our behalf to help us to provide services to you.  We undertake this data sharing on the basis of our legitimate interests.

Categories of organisation and purpose

Database hosting companies – to host Time to Ski digital platforms (e.g. Time to Ski website) and associated customer databases to enable customers to log in and interact with the websites.

Email broadcasting companies – to send emails to our customers.

Time to Ski partners delivering products and/or services to our clients (e.g. lift pass company, ski lesson provider) and communications with them.

Changes of business ownership and control

Time to Ski may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business, and this may involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of Time to Ski.  Data provided by Users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part, and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this privacy policy, be permitted to use the Data for the purposes for which it was originally supplied to us.

We may also disclose Data to a prospective purchaser of our business or any part of it.

Data retention period

We will hold information about you in our data systems only for as long as we need it for the purpose for which we collected it, which is as follows:

As long as you continue to log into our websites or use our services (including engaging with emails, booking holidays) we will retain and process information about you.  In such cases, you will be considered to be an ‘active’ customer.  If you have not been ‘active’ as a customer for a period of six years, Time to Ski will deactivate your customer account and anonymise any personal data relating to you.

Personal data linked to the processing of insurance claims, subject access requests, disputes, safeguarding investigations, disciplinary or police matters will only be kept for as long as it necessary for those purposes, as each is applicable.

Even if we delete your Data, it may persist on backup or archival media for legal, tax or regulatory purposes.

Cookies

Cookies are used by us to identify which website pages are being accessed and improve the quality of our website Most web browsers automatically accept the use of cookies but you can modify your browser settings to refuse cookies.  This could impact on your ability to use the full Time to Ski website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies.  These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.  These cookies will last for one year.
