What is ‘apéro’?
An apértif, or apéro as it is commonly known in France, is a gathering of friends coming together to share some tasty culinary treats and glass of their favourite tipple. It can be anything from a simple glass of wine with some crisps and olives, to champagne and spritzers with a selection of cooked meats, cheeses and hot quiches straight out of the oven. An apéro can be impromptu or organised well in advance with formal invitations. It can be short pre-dinner affair or it can last all evening. There are no set rules, but it’s a great way to enjoy some quality chill out time with your friends and family, and Time to Ski would like you to enjoy some tasty apéro ‘gourmandises’, (delicacies), on us!
